El ministro de Educación Alberto Sileoni, afirmó que con el programa de Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) el Gobierno pretende "llegar a las 45 mil escuelas del país, y a todos los niveles y modalidades, porque esta temática es muy importante".

"Queremos que se cumpla lo que se tiene que cumplir: que la educación sexual integral ocurra efectivamente en el aula", destacó Sileoni al disertar este martes en Santa Rosa, en el marco de las Jornadas de Formación Institucional en Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) 2012-2015.

Sileoni compartió el panel inaugural de las jornadas con la ministra de Cultura y Educación provincial, Jacqueline Evangelista, y la coordinadora del Programa Nacional de ESI, Mirta Marina.

“Sabemos que es un tarea difícil porque la educación sexual, en algún sentido interpela, moviliza nuestra propia historia y cultura. Pero los docentes, como agentes del Estado, debemos afrontar esta responsabilidad", dijo el funcionario.

"La escuela -acotó- es un territorio público y las políticas de organización de lo público se sostienen sobre leyes, no sobre opiniones y percepciones”.

“Formamos parte de un gobierno que ha puesto en vigencia una Ley de Educación Nacional, de Educación Sexual, de Identidad de Género y de Matrimonio Igualitario. En este sentido, es un buen momento de la sociedad argentina para poner en tensión estas cuestiones", dijo el titular de la cartera educativa.

Aseguró que la escuela "debe ser un territorio de circulación de ideas plurales, pero no puede haber silencio pedagógico referido a temas como la preservación de la salud o ante alguna actitud de discriminación”.

En ese sentido, precisó que “hay principios democráticos que no son negociables, como el derecho de nuestros niños y jóvenes a tener información veraz y validada sobre educación sexual, que puede converger con el ideario de cada uno”.

Por su parte, Evangelista remarcó que “cuando los niños y adolescentes no se informan y forman en educación sexual tenemos situaciones de abuso, embarazo temprano y maltrato infantil, que suelen dejar huellas en el sujeto y, además, provocan el abandono escolar".

"Para los educadores -dijo- este es un tema prioritario, acompañando a las familias y a los padres. Y allí donde éstos no estén, como docentes, como Estado provincial y nacional, tenemos la obligación de garantizar el acceso a esta información”.

“Con esta capacitación estamos formando a docentes que serán quienes transmitan al resto de la comunidad educativa y repliquen el abordaje que han aprendido de este tipo de temáticas para que llegue a las aulas”, señaló la funcionaria provincial.

Las Jornadas de Formación Institucional en Educación Sexual Integral (ESI) 2012-2015 tienen por objetivo capacitar a un directivo y un docente de cada institución educativa de la provincia, con la finalidad de que actúen como agentes multiplicadores en sus comunidades para la implementación de la ESI en las escuelas, según indicó un comunicado de la cartera educativa.

El Plan de Capacitación Nacional Institucional en ESI alcanzará a unas 30 mil escuelas a lo largo de cuatro años y la propuesta -que busca fortalecer la capacidad técnica de las jurisdicciones y acompañar la implementación de la Ley Nacional de Educación Sexual Integral– llegará durante 2012 a 7.000 establecimientos educativos.
