Uruapan, Michoacán.-in order to provide tools that reduce the risk factors for HIV in young people in Uruapan, Sara Villicaña Aguilar, Councillor of health and social welfare opened in the Zumpimito training centre training course for the training of promoters in comprehensive sexuality education process.

The course teaches it the center of studies and development for equity and diversity in the gender relations (CEDER), within the framework of the project "preventing with education" from the National Center for the prevention and Control of HIV / AIDS.

The Councillor of health and welfare acknowledged that comprehensive sex education encourages adolescents and youth to take the knowledge and skills to make responsible informed decisions about their sexual and social relationships.

He said that research shows that comprehensive sexuality education, promotes behaviors that reduce the risk of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections factors and promote healthy lifestyles.

Accompanied by Enrique Gutiérrez Macias, Coordinator of the health area of the municipal DIF; Arturo Quiroz Tajimaroa, director of the General Hospital "Dr: Pedro Daniel Martínez" Uruapan and Rafael Alcantar, director of social development; Sara Villicaña pointed out that the fundamental principles of the Declaration is prevented with education, includes equity in all persons as well as the right to education and quality services that support sexual and reproductive health that is based on respect for the values of a society.
The training workshop for the training of promoters in comprehensive sexuality education process, will be taught by norm the Rio Ortiz, legal representative of CEDER with a duration of six days.

The training programme also envisages the development three informational modules which will address the conceptual framework for the promotion of the comprehensive education on sexuality from an approach humanist and model face-to-face strategies of care and intervention for the promotion of a comprehensive sexuality and training courses according to the standard of competition EC-0217.
